Hunnibell Racing > 30th December 2014, Huntly Speedway

Huntly has always been a favourite of ours but this season we’ve had some very different tracks at the venue, this night was no exception. We started our first heat in grid position 13. The track was slick from early on which meant things were a bit slower with limited passing as everyone was running the bottom. We managed to pick off a car each lap and were running 8th when we attempted a pass which didn’t work in our favour as we were a bit fast entering the turn and to try and avoid contact we had to slam the breaks which stalled the engine and we spun out. With no restarts this was our first heat over. Our second hear race we started out of position 2 and got off to a number of good restarts but on the last restart we had we got shuffled back to 3rd where we battled alongside Brad Mosen for a few laps before we dropped back to 5th where we finished.

With the DNF in our first heat we started the Semi-main in 4th position. We moved up to 3rd position and were battling for 2nd when we got spun. We got a restart but had to start from the rear but managed to get back up to 4th position but unfortunately only the top 2 went through to the feature.
