Hunnibell Racing > 5th March 2015 - Huntly

With only 18 Midgets on the event program everyone was split into 4 groups. 2 groups competed in each heat race. Heat one we started off grid 5 and managed to move forward to 3rd position in the first few laps but after a few laps our steering troubles from Saturday were back to taunt us. We managed to hold on to finish the race in 5th position.

Our second heat we started off grid 6, unable to fix the steering issues we just went out in the hopes of circulating to get points but heading into turn 3 on the first lap the car was difficult to steer and we ended up spinning and opted not to get a restart. The only upside was only 4 cars finished this heat race which meant a lot of others were in a similar position to us. We qualified to start the feature out of grid 14.

We freed the car up as much as possible in an attempt to make it easier to drive with no power steering. With a number of restarts and incidents along the way we found ourselves in the top 10 with about 10 to go. We managed to hold on to finish 6th which we are happy with considering the circumstances we faced throughout the race.
